Party Time

We had Kallaway and Kinsley's birthday party with my family tonight.  The kids always love celebrating their birthdays with our families.  We were so thankful that Tonya, Garrison and Jackson were in town to join us.

Happy 4th Birthday, Kallaway!

4 years ago today, Chris and I were blessed with a  9 lb 3 oz bundle of joy.  When we found out we were having a boy, I honestly had no idea what I was going to do with him.  I kid...I kid!  Needless to say, I figured it out quickly and I am so blessed God gave me a sweet boy to love and take care of.

Kallaway,

You are the sweetest, most lovable, ornery and fun-loving little boy I know.  You LOVE sports.  ALL SPORTS!!  You constantly tell us you want to play football, basketball, baseball, golf, soccer, tennis, race cars and shooting.  You are a very good athlete thus far in your life and you seem to have a natural talent.  Who knows if you will continue to be this way, but it should definitely be fun to watch you grow and mature.  Even if we may need to hire a driver to take you to all of these events. :)

You bring your dad and I so much joy.  You are daddy's little buddy and you love to spend time with him.  You love your sissy and look up to her so much, but don't worry you love to pick on her too.  You have the most vibrant personality and because of this....most of our family loves to pick on you.  You are so loved by so many people.

We love you to the moon and back, little bubba!!

Daycare Cupcakes

I try to always take cupcakes to Kallaway and Kinsley's classmates each year for their birthday so they can celebrate with their friends.  I took cupcakes to daycare today for Kallaway and his friends to enjoy.  Unfortunately, I was not able to make it for the celebration due to work.  Thankfully, Ms. Marquita(Kallaway's teacher) saved the day and took some pictures for me.

Little Bubba, you make this momma's heart melt!!  I love you to the moon and back!!

The Newest Member of our Family.....

Meet the newest member of our family....Kingston Soto!!  We got this precious little bundle tonight.  He is almost 5 weeks old...and look at the size of his paws already.  I do believe we may have a big boy on our hands.  Our kids are ecstatic to finally have another dog in our family.  Chris and I were a little excited too! :)

Crashed out sleeping in my arms in the car on the way home.  Welcome to the family Kingston!!!

Red Sox T-ball

We have had so much fun coaching Kallaway's t-ball team.  It has been a very neat experience to watch them all learn the game so much more.  We have one of the younger teams, but we have done very well at holding our own against the older teams.
Our Little Team...missing a few though

HE is Risen!

We spent Easter with Chris' family this year.  My parents were out of town so we went to his grandparents house where all of his cousins' children got together to hunt eggs and celebrate.  Easter is one of my favorite holidays.  I love watching my children continue to learn about how Jesus has risen.  I also love to see all of the young kids in church all dolled up in their Easter best.
This is the best pic I have of these two somehow

Wedding Dresses GALORE

Today we went with my SIL to shop for her wedding dress.  Let's just say David's Bridal was a tad bit crazy on a Saturday afternoon.  There were people everywhere.  It was so much fun to sit and "people watch" while we were in there.  I loved watching all of these soon to be brides trying on dresses.  The looks on their faces was so fun to watch and Benita was no exception to this.  Her facial expressions were priceless.  And to see her face and her reaction to THE DRESS....well I was sooo honored to be there for that occasion.  I can't wait to watch her walk down the aisle.

That face says it ALL!!

Kallaway's Easter Party

Today was Kallaway's Easter Party at daycare.  I had a lot of things going on at work and was not able to make it to his party.  Luckily, my parents saved me by going to his party. I am so unbelivably thankful for parents who love their grandchildren so much.  They have 11 grandchildren and they adore each and every one of them.

Such a "cheesy" grin

I love this little boy with all of my heart!

He is such a mess - a very sweet mess though

Silly Boys!!

Kallaway's 4th Birthday is approaching VERY soon!!  It is sooo hard to believe that he is about to be four years old.  I pre-registered him for Pre-K yesterday.  As much as I want him to go to "big school", it is also bittersweet for me.  I cannot believe he is big enough to start school.  I am praying that he gets into "big school".  He so desperately wants to go to the same school as his sissy.  He thinks he is so big and doesn't understand why he is still stuck going to daycare.  All in good time Little Bubba!!  You will be 18 graduating from high school way too soon.

Registration for Big School

Today is Pre-K registration at our school.  I am going to register Kallaway this morning, and I am praying that he gets in.  Our school only accepts a certain number of kids for Pre-K each year, and the ones who "qualify" get in first.  We don't meet any of the qualifications so I am seriously crossing my fingers that my sweet little boy gets in.  He will be devastated if he doesn't get to go to "big school" with his sissy.  He may only be 3 right now, but in his mind he is old enough to do anything he wants.  Now we just get to sit back and wait to see if this sweet mess gets to go to big school or not.  We will find out in August so....here's to waiting!

Pre-Easter Celebration

My sister was in town from Abilene this weekend with my two nephews.  They came into town for my oldest nephew's track meet that was being held here in Lubbock.  We weren't going to be able to all be together for Easter so we decided to "celebrate" a little early.  Instead of a egg hunt we did a piñata party thanks to my sister Tonya.  We lined all of the kids up from youngest to oldest and they each got a chance at the piñata.
Kinsley taking a "whack" at it

Kallaway, Chisholm and Jackson waiting patiently

Even Elizabeth got in on the action

The chick piñata was the first one the kids picked.  They all got a turn to hit it and then we started back over with Kallaway since he was the smallest.  He ended up finishing off the chick and successfully broke it(thanks to the help of all of the others before him).  When we were beginning the second piñata we went ahead and lined them up youngest to oldest again.  We thought we were being fair so the older kids wouldn't break it before the little ones got a chance.  Well, our well thought out plan backfired.  Kallaway was first to hit the egg piñata and he broke it too!  He thought it was oh, so cool....the other kids....not so much!  OOPS!

Good job, Little Bubba!
